Can anyone help me with my UK Naturalisation dilemma?

You can only claim British citizenship one generation down. So even if your grandparents etc were 'British' that will not help you as you are second or third generation down from them. You have ILR all you need to do is apply for the test and t you are basically there, and can apply for citizenship.
