Garbage disposal: loose impeller?

The garbage disposal in my kitchen sink was jammed, but I was able to un-jam it using a broom handle (following commonly-found instructions on the Internet). The problem is that now one of the 2 impellers seems really loose and louder than normal. Is this something that needs to be fixed? If so, what needs to be done? Thank you!
