This week's Boxing Question: For all the regulars and experts here! How do you explain this or that?
To be a great boxer you must be able to travel.Ali as great as he was, lost in reality to Henry Cooper when he came to Wembley in 1963 and was knocked down by him.Ali was never hit as hard again by anyone and if the ensuing giggery pokery hadn't happened perhaps Ali may never have reached such a pinnacle in boxing. All boxers benefit from the home advantage. They are lifted by the partisan support and often by some very strange decisions as seen in American boxing over the years.Great champions like the Mexican Vicente Saldivar who came to Wales and fought Howard Winstone( who was possibly the best technically correct boxer ever) and won the decision retain universal respect for ever.
