Quick question regarding Japanese medical board registration?

When a local Japanese medical student finishes her university training and clinical attachment, she receives a certificate of graduation. What steps does she next need to go through / fulfill before full unconditional registration will be issued by Japanese medical board? eg. is there a board exam for them? What's the format of the exam (written only; or written plus OSCE)?
