What would life be like in Taiwan if China annexed Taiwan?

What are some things the PRC would do first (say, within the first year)? Subsequently, what would life in Taiwan be like in the long run (years, decades) under PRC rule? How would PRC supporters, apologists, and enablers WITHIN Taiwan react to PRC rule?
